Unholy Saint: Dark Mafia Romance (Unholy Sins Book 3)

EVIE

My father is a hero. The whole city says so. Twenty one years ago he drowned in a flood, going back by boat for three boys in his care, and his name is on a bronze plaque for anyone to read.

I came home to New Orleans to make a book about him.

Then somebody fixes my broken porch step while I sleep.

Someone is watching my house. And I've stopped locking the door.

He's huge. Scarred. Silent. He works for the most dangerous man in the city. He leaves gifts on my doorstep, he speaks one word at a time, and the first time I say his real name out loud he stops like I've shot him.

The more I learn about my father, the less I know.

And the man in the dark knows exactly how he died.

SAINT

I don't talk. Not more than I have to. A blade took most of my voice when I was twelve.

My brother sent me to find out what the dead man's daughter knows. Watch her. Don't be seen.

She saw me the first morning. She turned her camera on me across a field of grass, and I let her.

Now I can't stop watching.

I fix what's broken in her house. I stand guard over her door every night. I let her put her hand on a scar nobody has touched in twenty one years.

She wants the truth about her father.

I'm the one who killed him.
